Keeping a Watchful Eye on Your Business

The year was 1900. The first sign of any incoming storm came on August 28. For the next few days, the storm would move across the Atlantic, growing in intensity moment by moment while going virtually undetected.

On September 8, the Category 4 hurricane passed directly over Galveston, Texas, destroying the city and killing 8,000 people

  1. Hi Tom,

Enjoyed your blog. You are so right! I have learned not only from a business perspective what I am going to do different but also personally. What has happened to me over the last 4 years does not have to repeat itself. The financial crunch from a business standpoint started hitting my business in April 2006. Lenders started moving their offices, closing offices, disappearing and consolidating. They began to stop paying for appraisal work. even though they were still ordering appraisals. My partner and I saw the writing on the wall in 2006.

I do keep a group of business associates a phone call away, always looking for a different perspective. This has helped a lot.

Thanks for such an insightful blog!
