Ted Bateman and Elias Thomas Awarded Sub-Franchisor Rights to Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire for EXIT Realty

Real estate veterans team up to expand upper New England

Portsmouth , NH (Grassroots Newswire) January 26, 2012 – EXIT Realty Corp. International recently announced that the sub-franchisor rights to the region of Upper New England (Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire) have been awarded to Ted Bateman and Elias Thomas.

“EXIT Realty is expanding across the continent and it is paramount that we have the right people in place to spearhead our growth,” said Tami Bonnell, President of company’s U.S. organization. “We will absolutely own the next decade.”

Bateman has been a successful entrepreneur in both Florida, where he started his real estate career, and New Hampshire. In 2003 he opened EXIT Realty Leaders in Ossipee which expanded to include branch locations in North Conway and Wakefield.

“Elias and I acquired the regional rights to Northern New England because we believe real estate brokers, agents and their families deserve the benefits of real jobs like real people and should not only be as good as their last sale,” said Bateman. “The EXIT business model provides that opportunity. EXIT Realty of Upper New England will be home to the smartest and most productive real estate agents in the region – EXIT’s MIND-SET sales training, state-of-the-art technology as well as our unique business model will help to achieve that goal.”

Thomas, a native of Portland, Maine, began his real estate career in 1969 and became broker-owner, with his wife Jane, of KEY Real Estate in Shapleigh. He has been an active Rotarian since 1978 traveling abroad as Team Leader on annual humanitarian missions. He also served as Rotary Club president for two clubs and as District Governor. In 2011 Thomas and his wife converted their independent brokerage to the first EXIT Realty franchise in the State of Maine.

“We believed being associated with a franchise could attract some good folks in the business to come with us,” said Thomas. “Choosing EXIT Realty came down to tremendous technological support, as well as empathy – being respectful of others and being supportive. We bought the region because we wanted to share the great benefits of EXIT Realty with other agents and brokers throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.”

“We are honored to have true real estate professionals with decades of experience in the business representing us in Upper New England,” said Bonnell. “Both Ted and Elias bring expertise, know-how and leadership to the region.”
