AMP Bank appoints first national manager of business finance

AMP Bank has appointed Danielle Main (pictured above) as the national manager of business finance, a new role created to support the growth of advisers and brokers.

Main, who joined AMP in February 2019 and previously served as area manager for the Southern Region, will lead a team that helps professionals leverage their existing and future recurring revenue for business expansion.

With over two decades of experience in the banking and finance industry in Australia, Main has a comprehensive background in mortgage broking, financial planning, and senior management. Her role will focus on facilitating loans against business equity for brokers and financial planners, enhancing their ability to pursue mergers, acquisitions, and succession planning.

“Danielle brings a strong commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial growth and has helped design and implement mortgage solutions for clients to ensure best client outcomes,” said Paul Herbert, head of lending and everyday banking distribution at AMP Bank. “I am very excited to see her flourish in this role and deliver outstanding experiences for brokers in our network.”

Commenting on her new role, Main said she was excited to be leading business finance at AMP Bank.

“With a family history of owning and running small to medium businesses, I’m passionate about working closely with business owners to help unlock what is important to them – be that through financial security, independence or growth,” she said.

“Supporting the industry and helping brokers and financial planners achieve their business goals, whether that be for succession planning, mergers or acquisition, is something I find personally rewarding. There’s a real opportunity for us to innovate in the market, and I'm excited to continue to support the industry to deliver the best outcomes for clients.”
